I've done a bit of a different URL shortener recently - http://xm.my/ creates 17-character long URLs for locations on a map. Not directly a simple URL shortener, but maybe still useful.
We have just published very useful url shortener with very detailed statistics (GEO, google maps etc.) http://smal.ly
You should consider adding trly.gd. It's still new so there are only 1 or 2 characters at the end
Please add http://lnks.it With this, you can sort, browse, search and assign custom names for your favorite urls.
