It's interesting that even with all this competition, tinyurl.com has almost cornered the market. I've seen some use of urltea.com and maybe single instances of a few more.

You forgot http://elfurl.com
Of course! Duh. The reference that got me to publish my list in the first place. Okay, I added it. Thanks.

There was also http://zi.ma (defunct), now replaced by http://kl.am
Don't forget icanhaz.com which seems like a joke but is actually for reals.
I suppose you haven't seen SoCuteUrl.com? It's utterly ridiculous, but functional... not sure if it's a sly joke or note :-)
I'd like to recommend urlShort, which is both a service and an open source project. My goal with urlShort is to make it the best free and open source URL shortener, which can be used in a lot of ways whether it is Twitter, email, browsers, or anything else. Information is at http://u.mavrev.com/pro
A great one is http://shrten.com - Very simple, straight to the point! Great API too :)
And http://TwitterPan.com/ "the URLs which wouldn't grow up" :)
u.n33t.net just launched!
I've done a bit of a different URL shortener recently - http://xm.my/ creates 17-character long URLs for locations on a map. Not directly a simple URL shortener, but maybe still useful.
We have just published very useful url shortener with very detailed statistics (GEO, google maps etc.) http://smal.ly
You should consider adding trly.gd. It's still new so there are only 1 or 2 characters at the end
